For my Chicago history project, I am researching Robin Williams. Robin Williams was born on July 21,1951 in Chicago. Robin Williams’ parents were Laura McLaurin and Robert Fitzgerald. He was married to Valerie Velardi and Marsha Garces before marrying Susan Schneider. In all he had three children. Their names were Zelda, Zachary, and Cody. Robin Williams was a stand-up comedian, actor, voice actor, film producer, screenwriter, TV director, husband, and father. He was in 67 movies and 30 TV shows. His first TV show was Mork and Mindy and his first movie was Popeye. He started his career as a stand up comedian in the mid- 1970s. He won four Oscar awards from 1988-1998. He died on August 11,2014. Robin Williams is important today because of his success. For his awards, he got 64 wins and 84 nominations in his life. The movies he was involved in have brought entertainment and joy to thousands of people’s lives. “You know what music is? God's little reminder that there’s something else besides us in this universe; harmonic connection between living beings, everywhere, even the stars.”      -Robin Williams
